High visibility display

See clearly in the light of day thanks to a screen with a high contrast of black on white. Night visibility has also been optimized thanks to an inverted white-on-black mode to reduce light emission and preserve night vision.

Intuitive controls

A rotary station selector facilitates quick selection of channels, while large, widely separated buttons provide quick access to all key functions. Channel 16-specific keys provide instant access to the emergency channel, and are included on both the front panel of the radio and the four-button handheld microphone.

DSC Approval, class D

An integrated emergency button lets you make automated DSC distress calls. In addition, DSC capabilities allow direct calls to other DSC equipped ships from a Simrad multifunction display, including direct calls to AIS targets (a compatible display and AIS receiver required).

Three-channel surveillance function

It scans between the current channel, emergency channel 16 and another user-configurable priority channel (not on US models). In the EE models. Scans between the current channel and emergency channels 16 and 9.

All international channels

The RS20 radio is designed for worldwide use and is compatible with all international channels, including the US. UU. and Canada.

My Channel Mode

Select your favorite channels to access them quickly and easily. A long press on the channel switch activates the My channel mode, alternating only between the favorite channels previously selected with the rotary knob.

Various scanning modes

Scan through all available channels or just between your favorite selection. In any scanning mode, emergency channels can be optionally given priority to reduce the possibility of losing distress calls or other urgent safety messages.

Simple intallation with both support and recess

An included patella bracket allows installation on a countertop, wall or bulkhead. In addition, the recessed installation, with a very simple mounting solution, can be fitted to the low profile style of the Simrad glass bridge screens and accessories.
