Intuitive user interface and white backlit display and keyboard

The new menu system allows easy and intuitive operation. The bottom line of the dot matrix display shows the soft key functions that can be activated with the left and right buttons. The directional keypad allows you to perform different operations and adjustments.

Active noise canceler

The built-in active noise canceller provides excellent performance. Reduces background noise by up to 90% in the received signal and 30% in the transmitted signal.

Powerful10W audio, loudspeaker and speakerphone

The IC-M423G incorporates a 10W amplifier that increases the audio output of an external PA system. The PA system allows you to make a notification from the microphone as a powerful speaker, and can also output a speaker from the external PA system.

Built-in DSC Class D

The built-in DSC monitoring function monitors the activity of channel 70 (DSC channel), even while receiving on another channel. DSC functions include: emergency, individual, group, all ships, urgency, security, request / position report, polling request and DSC test calls.

Built-in GPS receiver

The integrated GPS receiver shows your position, the current date / time and can be used for DSC calls. The GPS data source is selectable from the internal or external GPS.

COMMANMIC® optional HM-195GB/GW with white backlight

The optional COMMANDMIC, HM-195GB / GW with white backlight is convenient to use the IC-M423G separate from the cabin or tower. From the COMMANDMIC you can control all functions of the IC-M423G and can be used as an intercom with the IC-M423G.

Calling an AIS target with the MA-500TR

When connected to an optional MA-500TR AIS class B transponder, the AIS target call feature allows you to make an individual DSC call without having to manually enter the MMSI number.
