With the same apperance as its predecessors, but featuring updated technology and built-in AIS, the McMurdo Smartfind G8 + AIS EPIRB ensures improved safety and better transmission to COSPAS-SARSAT satellites and nearby vessels (AIS). Furthermore, the are the only beacons on the market compatible with the MEOSAR satellite system, making them the most technically advanced.
As with previous SmartFind models, McMurdo offers two versions: the manual version and the automatic-manual versions with a built-in housing and release valve.
The activation of this beacon can be either automatic (in the water) or manual.
The radio beacons need to be programmed and installed by an authorized installer.
